While filing a grievance for one of our members who was short-changed on the salary compression – we asked for and received the formula HR used to make pay compression adjustments. Can someone come up with the mathematical formula used on years of relevant experience based on the information we received?
If an employee has 10 years of relevant experience, what would the percentage increase in salary be, or at what percentage of the pay scale should the employee be? What would it be for an individual with 20 years of relevant experience? The first one to solve the riddle will receive a prize!
And if you feel the pay compression was not fairly applied to you, then let us know and contact your Department’s HR to request the formula they used specifically for you!
